My handy on-tap Brita filter has stopped working. While it used to sound like some vigorous, 12:00am party-still-going, beer-induced, seal-breaking peeing, now it sounds more like strained dribbling through a bad set of kidney stones.
Okay, bad image for my water filter, I admit it.
In any case, I got all pissed off, and I read the manual, which tells me that 4 months is the "normal" filter life, unless you live in an area with "particularly high levels of sediment" in the water. I've had this thing for two months.
Now, normally I'd say that's a bullshit excuse for them to get more money out of me... but considering my dish rack turns orange within a week, I'm betting on Brita being right about this one.
I can't believe I drank this tap water for over a year. Ew.
