sometimes it seems like there's an inverse relationship between education and knowledge... as if the longer i stay in school and the more i learn, the less i actually know.

it's odd, because i really like what i'm learning right now, but at the same time i find it so inaccessible and frustrating. every time i think i fully grasp a concept and i'm asked to articulate it, it flutters away like it's a moth and the lightbulb above my head has gone out. it flutters above some other class member's light and my teacher invariably says "oh yes, (insert name here). that's a very good point."

ah well. three more months.
