the newspaper is always depressing, but every now and then something sticks out

it's weird though... what stuck out wasn't the evacuating of a major city... or the loss of homes... or the injuries... although those things are indeed terrible. what stuck out was the looting. in the middle of a natural disaster, a state of emergency, where lives are at stake and people are losing everything, there are people who would take advantage of the chaos to rob people of even more. there are people who would shoot a police officer in the head in the process.

sometimes the world makes me sick to my stomach.
