Before anyone here laughs, I do realize that I'm not always the most punctual person. I'm known to be about five or ten minutes late on occasion, and yes, I do feel bad about it.

But why is it impossible for any service person in Vancouver to come even relatively close to the time they were supposed to? It's now 10am, and still no sign of the exterminator who was supposed to be here an hour ago. I feel quite trapped. I have things I want to do and my roommate's taken off and I already told the landlord we'd be here, so...

Fuck.

I maybe can understand it at 4pm. But 9am? How can you already be running this behind at 9am? Or do you honestly just not care how long you make your clients sit around their house to let you in?

This is happening right now with the exterminator who's coming to take care of our ant problem. It happened 6 months ago with the guy who came to fix our furnace. It happened when we got our Shaw cable installed. It happened last year with the guys who came to fix our flooding... every time they came.

If anyone ever comes to do any work on my house, and actually comes on time, I will be a devoted customer for life.
