It is on days when it seems impossible to walk one city block without being harassed (for money or otherwise) by one person or another (be they homeless or greenpeace or amnesty international) that I most miss living in a small town.
At least when you're harassed on the street in a small town it's "Hi, how are you?!" not "Hi, give me/us money?!"
Or if it happens to be the latter, at least you fucking know them.
