For some reason all the banner ads on yahoo mail are for weight loss. You know... shape up for summer, try the atkins diet, etc etc.

I don't know why, but lately they've been freaking me out. The most common one this week has been an ad to "lose your tummy by February 25th." Every time I see it my knee-jerk reaction is "lose my tummy? No, it's mine!" It's sort of like seeing an ad that says "lose your left arm by February 25th" or "lose your first born by February 25th." Freaky.

I'm also not a fan of the ad that's simply the torso of a very thin and attractive woman, with a white dotted line along her side about an inch in and a white clip-art style pair of sissors prepared to start cutting.

God damn people. I mean, I'm all for getting into shape, but seriously. If you fall for that shit then you can just go on the Atkins diet and get heart disease for all I care.

Ugh.
