damp grey today, coat buttoned up and headphones covered in condensation: harbinger of west coast fall lovliness. i'm glad i don't know why i love the grey, damp, cold, wet, the rivulets curving around cheekbones, nostrils, into the nook above warm pink lips.

my hair pulled back, groggy, one black hoodie and two navy blue moons under each eye (wanting night). haven't slept for 36 hours. needing coffee and wishing i didn't hate it. feel melancholy in that romantic autumn sort of lonliness. sometimes i think i'm meant to be by myself, and it's okay, not sad exactly, but like a small child who looks around with unfolded eyes and wonders why she's different.
