Okay kids, I'm retracting a previous statement. In my last entry I said that I didn't want to have to defend my opinion. Well, I've realized now how stupid that is. So, please feel free to enlighten me about your political views, and to let me know what you think of mine, even if your opinion is that I'm an uninformed idiot. We can't learn unless we are questioned, right?

Also, I would like to clarify some things I said earlier. Firstly, I don't think it would be a good idea to go to war, regardless of why. I think there are other ways. Secondly, I am not sympathizing with or supporting Iraq. I'm sure that you all knew that but I thought I should be clear.

For your further information, you can download UN weapons inspector Dr. Hans Blix's full report (173 pages!) off of CNN.com. It's long but extremely interesting. Also, I found an interesting site: Vancouver Independant Media Centre. I have only looked at it briefly, so I can't speak for its credibility, but I really liked this article.

  • Peace March: Saturday March 15, 12:00PM, Vancouver Public Library.
  • Global Candlelight Vigil for Peace: Sunday March 16, 7:00 PM, Vancouver Art Gallery or English Bay (Denman and Pacific) (and many other locations in Vanc, Canada, and the World...)

Now, go forth, and educate thyselves. Even if politics don't interest you, this thing could get big, and it will affect you. Don't you want to know what it's all about?

(I promise, I will soon write an entry about knitting or the beach or something equally beautiful and simplistic. I'm not going militant on you. I swear.)
